Astra Honda Motor Supported the Talented Young Generation Author Denny Vasudeva – 15/07/2017 Honda Development Program JAKARTA – PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) supports the development potential of the young generation by supporting the largest student basketball competition in the country. Honda Development Basketball League (DBL) 2017, has entered the age of a decade in support of young people in the field of sports. The program is targeted to reach 844 Senior High School (SMA) in 25 cities in Indonesia period July – October 2017. As long as 10 years of implementation, this program has been followed 6,486 schools and witnessed 5.6 spectators. At Honda DBL, AHM consistently continues to strengthen important aspects to build the positive character of the young generation, in this national basketball competition. Students are taught and required to be like professional players who promote cooperation, discipline, unyielding attitude and also appreciate the surroundings. In addition, the students must also continue to prioritize school education. “We want to present and contribute to advance this nation by developing the potential and character of the nation’s children through the world of sports. As in previous years, at the end of Honda DBL season, students will be selected to be given further training, by professional basketball player and train to the home country of basketball sport, USA. This year, the 22 elected students will perform various exhibition matches, against the best teams from other countries during the training period in the United States. Honda Development Basketball League (DBL) 2017, telah memasuki usia satu dekade dalam mendukung generasi muda di bidang olahraga. Pada Honda DBL, AHM secara konsisten terus menguatkan aspek-aspek penting guna membangun karakter positif generasi muda, dalam kompetisi basket bertaraf nasional ini. Para siswa diajarkan dan dituntut untuk menjadi seperti pemain professional yang mengedepankan kerja sama, disiplin, sikap pantang menyerah dan juga menghargai sekitarnya. Selain itu para siswa juga harus tetap mengedepankan pendidikan sekolah. “Kami ingin hadir dan berperan memajukan bangsa ini dengan mengembangkan potensi dan karakter anak bangsa melalui dunia olahraga. Bersama Honda DBL, kami harap bisa memberikan inspirasi dan menemani para siswa menjadi lebih dekat lagi dengan tujuannya,” ujar Agustinus Indraputra GM Marketing Planning & Analysis Division AHM.

Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, di akhir musim Honda DBL, akan dipilih siswa berprestasi untuk diberikan pelatihan lebih lanjut, oleh pebasket professional dan berlatih ke negara asal olahraga basket, Amerika Serikat. Tahun ini, 22 siswa yang terpilih akan melakukan berbagai pertandingan eksibisi, melawan tim terbaik dari negara lain selama periode latihan di Amerka Serikat. Sepanjang musim kompetisi Honda DBL, AHM turut mengadakan roadshow ke sekolah-sekolah di 25 kota penyelenggaraan, dan lokasi kompetisi dengan berbagai aktifitas seperti games, pelatihan dan sosialisasi kampanye keselamatan berkendara melalui #cari_aman, dan program penjualan menarik lainnya.
